As it is nearing Halloween I thought that we might like a little “witchy” poem. Short on time today, so “TH TH THAT’ S ALL FOLKS.”
Have some fun with it and have a terrifying terrific Tuesday,
Jake.
SHE WAS A WITCH
She was a witch, they said.
She whispered softly, to the dead.
She filled her neighbors,
full of dread.
She was a witch, they said.
*
She, would cut the heads, off cats.
She cooked a stew, that was made of bats.
But, not the body,
just the head.
She was a witch, they said.
*
She had a cauldron, that was full, of blood.
She buried bones, out in the mud.
And nails protruded,
from her bed.
She was a witch, they said.
*
Then when she went before, the judge,
he asked her not, to hold, a grudge.
In fact, he didn’t ask, he pled.
He said, that he was being, led.
She was a witch, they said.
*
Then, they gathered wood, and lit, the fire.
If she’s not a witch, she will expire.
But, when it’s done,
and she’s not dead,
it’s because, she is a witch, they said.
*
Then if they could, they would deny,
they would say, it was the other, guy.
But by then, they would’ve all, have fled.
‘Cause if they’re right, they would all, be dead.
She was a witch, they said.
