Words From The Servants Of Freedom
There are a few words that I would like to say
to all who mention us when you pray
even though we’re not known to you and oh, so far away
when you think of all the reasons we’re not there today.
You pray for our health and safety true
and a quick return back home to you
but most of all when our tours are through
that our mission’s been done and our losses few.
That God will bring us safe and sound
from foreign shores and homeward bound
or from domestic posts on friendly ground
where danger too, can oft be found.
You pray for those who give their time
who put all they have, square on the line
and for those who’ve served and those left behind
you pray His Light on all be shined!
‘Tis because of you we stand strong not weak
yes, it is but to you, to whom we speak
the full-time patriot, not the Sunday meek
and for whom this nation only peace thou seek!
There are no words which can be expressed
to the emotions of those when they’re so distressed
but that your thoughts and prayers are at their best
when answered by God at your behest!

Thank you for this tribute to veterans, Jake.
They have ALWAYS responded to the call of this nation, without regard to race, creed, color nor conflict and I believe that ANY action that involves even the smallest hint of disrespect to those serving or those who have served is a misplaced emotion and should not be used as an agenda by the people who should be more informed! Thanks Audrey.
This Trump call to the Gold Starmother controversy is making me enraged. The left and Trump haters twist everything. “He knew what he was getting into” is a statement of deep admiration and respect for a man who was willing to put his life on the line for his country.
*He knew what he was getting into”? “He knew what he was getting into”? What a flimsy,”no balls””, vanilla,no substance answer to a life and death event, that anyone of character and quality would ever in a million years expect to hear upon the utmost and ultimate sacrifice given on their part.. To supply such a response when learning of said sacrifice,makes the victim a greater hero to me and the RESPONSE itself, a mere insignificant drop of ignorance from the ignorant to they who have answered the call of duty to the greatest measure of their being! ..
