Backyard Fun (The Lawn)

     Here is another entry from the Backyard Fun theme. For all of you maniacal lawn laborers and grass-a-holics out there this one’s for you.

     Have a weed-whackin’ Wednesday,

THEY’RE MOCKING YOU!!

Backyard Fun

(The Lawn)

You finish at dusk

and you start-up at dawn,

attacking the dandelion

degrading your lawn.

You mow and you hoe

but the battle goes on,

and how impervious they are

to your “Weed-B-Gone.” *

Yes, you dig and you dig

and you spray and you spray,

you attack them by night

and you attack them by day.

They show up in the Spring

and all Summer they’ll stay.

And sadly, only snowfall

will hide them away!
