Open To Scrutiny

The following entry was started and finished in one day(12/13/11)..Very unusual, as the editing and rewriting process can take a while sometimes. I do hope it is worthy of your “Scrutiny”…

     Please have a “watchful” Wednesday,

 Open To Scrutiny

 With whistles and bells,

all secrets we tell,

for nothing’s secure anymore.

Connecting in seconds,

with those we would reckon,

to seek the gist, and the core.

Even baring ourselves,

our souls we would sell,

if, but a few dollars, we’d score.

For we have all fell,

under the spell,

of the internet’s windows and doors.

The very phones in our hands,

have the world on command,

and pictures in an instant can soar.

For *Orwell’s “Big Brother,”

perhaps is none other,

than the person you’re standing before.

    As always….on the money!

Scary stuff. I have been worried about every person allowing their thoughts to be put out for the world to see. It’s not right. People are giving up their privacy, unconditionally. They trust that their honesty will be accepted as truth. Bad people take advantage of that, unfortunately.

    • I know, we are so techno-dependant now, we are beingcontrolled by our own machines. Do I remember a movie like that way back when all ofthis was sci-fi? But, what is really scary, is that as much as the public has, in the way of technology the Government must/and does, have so much more. And the “Big Brother” temptation may become sointrusive, that it mayleadour downfall. I am convincing myself more and more that since the “Roswell Incident” the technological advanceshave exploded beyond all imagination. Coincidence? Maybe… Aren’t you glad you commented on this? lol
