A Christmas Gift

As you will notice at the end of the poem I wrote this last year around this time. But, I think it bears repeating as the “Season” moves on, and we are reminded regularly of how many Shopping Days there are left until Christmas. It is just a little reminder, that the true spirit of Christmas is not what you purchase, but what you give. And in that regard, what you receive, is definitely okay to re-gift.

Take a breather now and then, and relax, you still have (only) ten shopping days til Christmas.

 Tis the season,

to be blessed,

not the reason,

to be stressed.

 Remember why,

we celebrate,

it’s the birth of Christ,

not the gifts, ornate.

 In your heart,

your presents lie,

not, the shopping carts,

with what you buy.

 So, give to those,

you hold so dear,

a love that grows,

from year to year.

                                                                                 MERRY CHRISTMAS

Thank you for the reminder message of what its really all about. I will include this Zemanta Link at the bottom of my Christmas message to my readers. Merry Christmas

    • I thank you sir, for your kind words and Zemanta link. Lately it seems, that Christmas, if it is mentioned at all, is all about what you can get for that ‘special someone’ or what are ‘we’ going to get this “Holiday Season?” It seems we have lost that old time Christmas spirit, and the feeling of Christmas in the air. So with that said, I bid you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Happy New Year. Please stop by anytime.
