Instant Harma

A little play on words for the title of this one. It is an “oldie, but a goodie” for sure. In the words of Simon and Garfunkle in “The 59th street bridge song “…”Slow down you move too fast…”

I hope this will bring a little lift to your Tuesday,

Jake.

Instant Harma

 Everything, is speed today,

patience seems, to fade away,

we’ve got to go, got a busy day.

*

Fast food, fast cars,

what is next,

drive through bars?

*

Instant cameras, instant rice,

wouldn’t a home cooked,

meal, be nice?

*

Express lanes, bullet trains,

liquid plunger,

for your drains.

*

Quickie marts, and auto parts,

and why not,

high-speed, grocery carts?

*

Drive through drugs, at pharmacies,

“I’ll just take a few of these

helps control anxieties.”

*

These are just, a few of those,

things, that cause, our many woes,

and tingling, in our hands and toes.

*

Then, you’re told, you must cut back,

or a stress related, heart attack,

will do it for you, that’s a fact.

*

So, take some time, to look around,

you’ll be amazed, at what is found,

and all you missed, while running ’round.

Funny how it has become so fast paced for so many—-we are not fast paced anymore. Seems like once the kids are gone we have been able to take time for ourselves and not be so frantic about being busy—it’s been nice. And the up side—nice home cooked meals!!! 🙂 Happy Tuesday! Hope you are feeling better!
