The Birth Of A Nation

The birth of a nation
is like that of a child
the first years are for nurturing
and then come the wild.
But they’ll emerge as mature
with a lot of guidance and care
and survive to a great age
none worse for the wear.

  1. Not sure present government members very mature

  2. That line was intended for the nation itself, certainly not for the government and in our case it is the voter who is surely to blame for the government. In spite of that I still pray that we will indeed survive to a great age, none the worse for wear.
