The Faces Of Freedom

The VETERAN took the very same oath of office as the president and all members of Congress. But the VETERAN honored theirs. Thank you vets for your service and your sacrifice.. God Bless America and those who serve!!

Thank a VET today they earned it,

American Military Insignia

In Defense of Freedom

The Faces of Freedom

To you they’re a neighbor,

a relative or a friend

or maybe the cop, the postman

or the doctor who mends

or they may be the tailor

the nurse or the teacher

they may work at the car-wash

perhaps even your preacher.

They may live in large mansions

or exist on the street

they may be living the good life

or just making ends meet.

But they all have one thing in common

yes, they all have one common thread

they’ve served their country with honor

and perhaps they served in your stead.

You see, theirs are the faces of freedom

and the protectors of all we hold dear

so give them your thanks for that service

if but only, this one day a year.

  1. A beautiful tribute to our veterans, Jake. Thank you for penning this poem. And thank you, veterans for your service.
