Halo ‘Round The Moon

The full moon is upon us and with a halo sends a warning! Be wary my friends, of strange birds and the howling wind.

Not all winds are fair nor foul,

     just ask the wolf

     but heed the owl,

     when he tells you

    of the chicken’s cowl,

     as ruffled feathers

     incense the fowl.

                 J.R.D. *

Have a wary filled day,

Beware the haloed moon.

Beware the haloed moon.

Halo ‘Round The Moon

Halos round

the fullest moon

portend a tempest

coming soon,

and likely a ‘fore

the next of noon,

whilst rousing both

the lark and loon.
