The Phantom Tomorrow

Just a thought for your weekend. Have a great one!

Jake.

Tomorrow is just maybe, and today is fading fast. The only thing that is for sure, lies resting in your past.

Tomorrow is just maybe, and today is fading fast.
The only thing that is for sure, lies resting in your past.

The Phantom Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the phantom

that we all chase today

but, the only piece of life we own

is in our yesterdays.

*

Today was once tomorrow

until it passed away

and yesterday embraced it

as all, those other days.

*

For the phantom that is tomorrow

rests not in coming weeks

but may be right behind you

if you’ll listen to it speak.

*

No, the phantom that’s tomorrow

will not live the coming week

but, if you treat today most wisely

then more yesterdays, you’ll seek.
