SUNDAYS IN HAIKU

Sundays In Haiku

Inner peace awaits

when the workweek is complete

with this day of rest.

…………………………………………………………

Cathedrals fill up

but God too, may be worshiped

in structures and out.

……………………………………………………………..

Lawnmowers awaken

 at the most ungodly hour

disturbing our dreams.

………………………………………………………………

Sundays in summer

are times for good food and drink

Mondays come quickly.

………………………………………………………………..

Family and friend

let us gather together

for peace let us pray.

………………………………………………………………….

I’m a big fan of the haiku!

I had to give a speech at a good buddy’s rehearsal dinner recently and so I made a haiku. Short sweet and too the point
