Beyond the rainbow’s end.
My Happy Place
I have nowhere to go
but, I’m going just the same
and I’ll travel on a comet’s tail
that I have yet, to name.
I will race upon the wind aloft
and circle til I fall,
but when I land upon that spot
it will not hurt at all.
For there I’ll find my happy place
and need no more to roam
and in the valley of the dragons,
is where I’ll build my home.
I will erect, a mansion grand
from wood and stone and stuff,
that is far away from here today
but I’m sure, not far enough.
I will dine with kings and beasts alike
I will sleep until I wake
and I will have all that I want
so I’ll have no need to take.
But alas, there’s something missing
there in my happy place
I’ll have no one to share it with,
now I’m thinking, silk and lace.
Yes, I will find a princess
from some exotic land
to join me in my happy place
where we’ll stroll, hand in hand.
There we will pet the dragons
and watch my comet up in space
yes, that is how it’s going to be
when I’m in my happy place.
And I’ll not tolerate the rules of man
the bogeyman nor the dark
and I’ll fly amongst the soaring birds,
the eagle and the lark.
I will dine on fruits and candy
and bathe but when I must
and have all the knowledge I will need
to know whom not to trust.
I will mount up on a dinosaur
in a most fantastic race
and no one else shall beat me
when I’m in my happy place.
No, of the life I live today
I’ll leave not but a trace
and happiness will sure be mine
there in my happy place!
