Christmas Cheer

From the ghost of Christmas past, comes this bit of advice. I’ve edited it somewhat this year, I hope you enjoy it and perhaps some of us will heed the message. (Though as usual, it probably won’t be me.)

Don’t forget to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone, as it is a gesture of peace and goodwill to all, and if anyone finds that offensive, then it is a problem that THEY have. Let us not be stifled by ignorance, nor dictated to, by the vocal minority.. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Jake.

"Are you wearing my hat, or am I wearing your suit?"

“Are you wearing my hat, or am I wearing your suit?”

Christmas Cheer

Christmas cheer

is neither wine

nor beer,

nor eggnog

laced with brandy.

No, it’s not in the whiskey

for indeed that

is risky,

and may lead you

to acting, quite randy.

*

You see the spirit’s inside

so there’s no need,

to imbibe

if you let it flow

inside to out,

and with those

you hold dear

be of that good cheer

so it’s not you, that they’ll all,

laugh about.
