Nursery Rhymes And Fairy Tales Revisited Pt. 5

This was the first one of these that I wrote, it is probably the tamest of the lot, and maybe I should have led with it. However I didn’t, so here it is now, and there are more of these to come. (Like it or not!)

This is what we are relating to our children as a soothing lull-a-bye.

     Have a great day friends,

Jake.

Sleep light and hold on tight.

Sleep light and hold on tight.

Rock-A-bye

When rocks the cradle

the baby will sleep.

But, when falls the cradle

the baby will weep.

We sing to our young

for comfort and rest.

But who thought that this madness,

for baby was best?

That song/rhyme always creeped me out. How could a good mother sing that to her child with a good feeling???
