When I’m With You

A rare poem from the “mushy” side. There is no way to explain how my mind works, (though it is currently on an extended hiatus) I don’t know where the inspiration for this one came from, perhaps a song on the radio, but the words just came flowing out. I do hope you will enjoy it.

When I'm With You..

When I’m With You..

When I’m With You

The stars are talking

about you.

The moon is wearing

a smile.

And the sun always shines

a bit brighter

when I’m with you

all the while.

The birds in the trees

are so happy

that they sing out

their favorite songs.

And every day

that I’m with you

the world can do me

no wrong.

My pulse beats

a little bit faster

whenever I glimpse

at your face.

But the touch of your hand

sends me reeling.

And in my heart

you’ll have always, a place.

When I’m with you

there’s no hours.

Only seconds that go

whisking on by.

But a second with you

leaves me wanting

to give forever

a try.

    • Oh, wow your comment is so “mushy” thanks Beth Ann, though absolutley nothing is coming through lately. It is like a spigot has been turned off, and I don’t have the key.. But again I want to thank you for all of your support and encouragement.
      Your friend,
