With but one week to go until the day of all days for the Irish, me thought something of Japanese origin would do nicely to confuse the hell out of ya’s. Enjoy!

St. Patrick’s Day In Haiku
When the beer is green
and the brogue is make-believe
’tis Saint Patrick’s Day
………………………………………………………………..
Politicians march
pretending to be Irish
full of shilelagh
………………………………………………………………….
Lasses and Laddies
sing old Irish favorites
……………………………………………………………………..
Hangover assured
morning’s light brings headache’s pain
the same as next year
………………………………………………………………………
Plastic derby hats
and kiss me I’m Irish pins
not if you’re for real

Thank you so much for the mention on your blog.. I’m happy that you thought enough of it, to do so..
Hi there! I’m Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a fitness/diet app and website. I saw your blog yesterday and it captured my interest!
I was wondering if we can do a giveaway for your blog readers?
Our website basically turns people’s fitness/diet goals into a level up game with challenges such as quitting soda for a week. We’re looking for new challenge ideas, so was thinking of holding a contest where your readers leave a comment on a health challenge idea + sign up on our site
We’ll pick our favorite challenge idea, use it on our site, and give the winner either a free digital health scale, slow cooker, or digital heart monitor. We’ve done many giveaways for bloggers in the past – you can google ‘SlimKicker giveaway’ to see. I also encourage you to sign up for our site to see what we’re about too 🙂
Let me know if you’re interested! You can email me back at sue.zheng (at) slimkicker (dot) com.
Best,
Sue
tracey · Hi Selma – I love that you have a collection of handwritten and typed recipes that you’ve gathered … I think that’s so wonderful. I’ve never been very good at doing that, and I think being able to search for recipes online so easily has perhaps made me a little lazy at organising a proper con8vctiol.I&#l217;ee been feeling that need to try different recipes lately, so that may be another reason why I’ve felt the need to do some cookbook buying.
