A Trip To Eden

Paradise island

Original oil painting by Steve Barton via
Google search engine

In keeping with the previous post… A Sail To Paradise.. The theme continues with;

A Trip To Eden

Warm sands,

cool drinks,

and fish, fresh from the ocean.

Steel bands,

golf links,

and ceiling fans, in whirling motion.

 *

Turquoise blue,

brown skinned,

the ocean and the people.

Pastel hues,

gentle winds,

Sunday bells, ring from the steeple.

*

 Paradise found,

wish anew,

that the end may never come.

Homeward bound,

sadly true,

as my time in Eden’s done.

What a happy pic to go with your nice thoughts 🙂

    • Thank you so much, my daughter and son-in-law are heading to Aruba later this month, that is what got me thinking about these poems again.. We have a major blizzard heading our way this week(end) and I’m definitely wishing for a get a way.. But alas there’ll be no white sandy beaches for awhile.. Woe is me.. lol

I tend to do that as well, Jake. I find myself writing about the seaside – in midwinter here!

    • I guess that is what keeps us all going Denise, the promise of better days, and at least with the weather, sooner or later it’s going to change to the way we like it.. If only for a very short spell.
