A Wizard’s Revenge

Mystical, magical, even sometimes maniacal, “The Wizard” was a creature of wonder and awe. Entertaining the rich and the poor, the Lord and the lay-about, the craftsman and commoner, while astonishing all, with sights and sounds of mysterious origins. Wizards were always treated with respect and reverence, one never knew what they were capable of doing. Did I mention that they were always treated with respect? Yeah, well that was until one day when… Ah, you’ll see!

Oh, by the way, did you know that Wizards don’t wear those conical caps with crescent moons and stars anymore? Nope, they look just like you and I and could actually be the next person that you will come in contact with today. So, if you do not want the following, or some other “unspeakable horror” to happen to you too, then treat everyone with respect just to be on the safe side!

The wizard and the frog

I’ll teach him..

A Wizard’s Revenge

With crescent moons

and golden stars,

on the wizard‘s cap be donned.

But, the mystery bade

by the wizard’s trade,

lay in his words, and wand.

Δ Δ Δ

For with but a wave

came a puff of smoke,

and things would disappear!

Or perhaps they’d arrive

in the blink of an eye,

from places far, and near.

 Δ Δ Δ

There would be things exotic

 or some more commonly seen,

still all, were so hard to explain.

And the wizard was heard

Saying a mystical word,

that may have come from the land of Spain.

 Δ Δ Δ

Abracadabra,

I’ve heard it said

could summon a power, beyond your belief.

But, only for joy

and not as a toy,

and forbidden its use, to cause grief!

 Δ Δ Δ

But, that was until

the one fateful day,

when a wizard was treated unkind.

“Without respect”

he’d later reflect,

as this thought invaded his mind.

 Δ Δ Δ

“Why should I

a wizard so great,

with magic at my beck and command,

be treated that way

when one word, I could say,

and wave him off, to some foreign land?”

Δ Δ Δ

But, the wizard devised

a more devious plan,

to inflict on his victim that day!

With the word and wand’s wave

the curse that he gave,

was a mother-in-law, coming to stay!
