For Heaven’s Sake

I haven’t dug into the old “song lyric” file for a little while, so here we go again. As most of you know, I don’t know diddley squat about music, and  may have read about that in my “profile” piece; “Who Am I?” Who Are You?” But if you haven’t and you give it a look, then you will know a little more about me than the little I know about music.. Huh? What? Oh Never mind, I will hope you like it as a poem anyway.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, whomever you are,

Jake.

FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE

Some folks were born for givin’,

some folks were born to take.

Some folks were born, to go to hell,

so live, for heaven’s sake.

Some folks were born to riches,

some folks were born dirt poor.

Some folks don’t know the difference.

But, they’ll know at the final score.

Yeah, they’ll know at the final score.

Some folks were born to do right,

some folks were meant, to do wrong.

Some folks won’t know, the one from the other,

til the fat lady sings her song.

Yeah, til the fat lady sings her song.

Some folks know why, they’re livin’,

some folks don’t know, why they’re born.

But, we’re all gonna get the answer,

when Gabriel, blows that horn.

Yeah, when Gabriel, blows that horn.

So, if your bound for givin’,

or if you’re bound, to take,

just hope you’re not bound,

to go to hell.

And just live, for heaven’s sake.

Just live, for heaven’s sake,

just live, for heaven’s sake.

Just hope you’re not bound,

to go to hell,

and just live, for heaven’s sake.
