And He Said Unto

The first poem of the new year, and I am aware that some of you are “praying” that I stop now! No such luck.. Poets are a strange breed.

It is the first Friday of the year, so why not do something for the first time this year? Like, maybe write a comment for a change. If you read this “material” that I put out for your edification, irritation, amusement or confusement, like it or not, let me know.

      Have a frivolous Friday,

Jake.

And He Said Unto

..And God said unto the artist,

“take this gift I give

and show unto the world,

My face.”

Then He said unto the tenor,

“take this gift I give

and sing to all the world,

My praise.”

Then He said unto the orator,

“take this gift I give

and preach unto the world,

 to pray.”

..And then He said unto the poet,

“take this gift I give..

And ah, well never mind,

no one’s going to get it anyway!”

topic to be realoy something which I think I would never understand.

    • First of all cts, thank you for reading and commenting, I really do appreciate it.. The poem was intended to say that the poet has been given a gift as well, but it is not always apparent to people, as poetry does not generally get the exposure, as the other talents. Thank you again for the visit. Please come again.
