A Prayer

Christmas Eve… The anticipation, the celebration, the jubilation, the gathering of family and friends! That, is what it is supposed to be all about. But, there are those, who  for a variety of reasons cannot or will not be home with us tonight exchanging gifts and good cheer. But regardless of the circumstance, they will be missed. And as we experience the joy of the moment, surrounded by love, we pray for the lonesome tonight!

     MERRY CHRISTMAS again,

   Jake.

Merry Christmas

A Missing Stocking

A PRAYER

There is nothing,

quite as lonely,

as being,

just you only,

alone, all by yourself,

on Christmas Eve.

 *

When, friends and family,

gather near,

and but one,

does not appear,

an emptiness pervades,

I do believe.

 *

So, whether it be,

choice or chance,

that finds you,

in that circumstance,

I, will say a prayer,

for your reprieve.
