When Jesus Was Small

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Yup, there, I said it, shame on me… NOT!  It is about time that we stand up and rejoice in that of which we believe, and be vocal about it. We cannot allow the very meaning of Christmas to be extracted, diluted, or homogenized, and allow the festival of “His Birth” to be morphed into a pagan and godless ritual, or to be simply made “generic” by those with an agenda that is contrary to a centuries old tradition and a faith in God that is represented not only by Christmas Day itself, but by an entire season of joy and hope for peace that is extended to all of mankind who would respect our right to live and worship as we see fit.

So while Christmas marks the celebration of the birth of  Jesus Christ, and in turn, the advent of Christianity, it also embraces a spirit of calm and tolerance for all people, of all nations and of all beliefs, that we may ALL live together in the name of ALL that is HOLY!

So from this one Christian I say; MERRY CHRISTMAS again, to all of you. Please receive that greeting in the spirit in which it was intended. May the God of your choosing bless you, now and for all days.

Jake.

Star of Wonder

‘Unto you today, a King is born….’

When Jesus Was Small

Wreaths, trees and sleighs,

as in merry old days,

with candles in the windows to shine.

While carolers sing,

good cheer do they bring,

for all to enjoy Christmastime.

But, the wreaths and the trees,

are today, but a tease,

and sleighs are no more to be seen.

Now, with no wish to offend,

our beliefs, we suspend,

and there’ll be no “Nativity Scene.”

And “Christmas” no more,

to be seen at the stores,

the “Holidays.” now cover the mall.

But, for me I will say,

have a great, Christmas Day,

and celebrate, when Jesus was small.

Wouldn’t it be great if the true meaning of Christ-mas would overshadow all the other gumph! One would think people were ashamed to mention the real origin of Christmas.

    • We don’t want to “offend” anyone, so we refrain from an outward display of ourfaith asChristians, yet the rest of the world’s “religions” seem quite content to voice their opinions on the subject of their worship, without concern as to how it may offend Christians. And franklyit does sometimes I might add, but there seems to beless criticismplaced on them. Merry Christmas Denise, maybe if we say it often enough out loud, we gather some momentum and some hutzpah as the Jews would say.
