Altered Memories

I don’t understand some people. Do you know the ones I mean? Those who think that they are now, much better than the very class of people that they used to be. Even though they are ‘cut  from the same bolt of cloth’.. to use the age-old expression. They seem to conveniently “forget” their darker days. Well here are a few questions that I think they should ask themselves when they get to feeling superior.

      It’s Friday…

Altered Memories

Do you remember things

that never were,

yet forget

your actions, past?

Do you condemn

a him or her,

from whose mold

you have been cast?

Do you now, sit upon

a horse so high,

you no longer

see the ground?

And, do you remember not

those days gone by,

when in their shoes

you would be found?
