Mom, this one’s for you.. We miss you!

For Mom

You are missed

The lines had deepened

until creases became.

Beauty had altered,

not diminished, just changed.

Her eyes still as bright

as a summer’s blue sky,

and her laughter as light

as a hummingbird’s sigh.

The touch of her hand

exposed her true love,

may she now rest in peace,

with the saints up above.

Your words captured the beauty of your Mom inside and out. She was one special lady!! Thinking of you as you remember and miss her.

    • Thank you so much Jeanne, I remember those good times with your mom and dad as well…We were quite the group weren’t we? So many laughs and oh, so many beverages…LOL. I trust all is well with you and Eric and the kids.. I know Stephanie is doing well from your Facebook postings..Best wishes to all of you.

what a beautiful tribute to a fine woman. well done Jake!

    • Thanks Pearl, I wish that I had that photo of her that you put in my book, it would have been perfect. I hope all is well with you folks out there in Cali. We here, are awaiting Sandy’s arrival. I hope that we don’t have any problems, it is quite disconcerting, as the wind picks up, and you have a tendency to worry about the roof, the trees, the cars, power outages, etc. But it is not our first “rodeo”.. Keep your fingers crossed okay? Love to all. Jake and Beth.
