The Election Looms

     November 6th is fast approaching, only eleven more days of this nonsense. I think that there should be a limit on the amount of TV and radio ads that they can shove down our throats.. It has now, come down to which candidate’s voice or face that I am most sick of hearing and/or seeing. It is now of no importance; the issues or the qualifications, but only the lesser amount of revulsion that this process has instilled in me. And that, and only that, will sway me in one direction or the other.

      But, voting is a privilege and a responsibility, so give your vote a lot of thought. Someone said, (John Adams perhaps) ‘that with Democracy, you always get the government that you deserve.’  Vote wisely my friends.

Every Vote Counts

The Election Looms

 The incumbent tells us

that the grass, is green.

And to look at that big blue sky.

And he tells us he’s

more American,

than mom, and sweet apple pie.

 While the challenger says

that the grass is now burnt,

and the sky, is now falling down.

And there’s no one who’s more

American, than he,

and you can search but they won’t be found.

 But, say they both,

that it’s not about them.

No, it’s all about the “Average Joe.”

And it is for them, that they serve,

and they just want,

to save them some dough.

*

 The incumbent now says,

that he will do more,

if he’s elected to serve one more term.

But, I will say this

we’ll be screwed again,

no matter who, does the twist of the worm.

 They both act self-righteous,

yet oh, how the venom,

they spit.

But all I can say,

is if you vote either way,

the reality, is that they’re both full of ..it!
