Another look inside the human condition by comparison to our friends of the animal kingdom. How’s that for short and sweet?
Tuesdays don’t suck quite as much as Mondays, but almost, so do the best you can,
The Human Swan
The mist floats atop the water
in the early hours of dawn
as the birds awake the trees,
save for the gliding swan.
So calm upon the surface
yet beneath, a race be on.
Are we not, the human ones,
alike the swimming swan?
We show a face to all the world
yet, reveal the truth, to none.
