Come On In

It would seem that the Reverend Jake, has a serious side, of which I was not fully aware. This came in a message this week, as a suggestion for my Sunday offering to you.. So on behalf of the Right Reverend, (and with thanks of course) I pass on these words for your contemplation.

Enjoy your day, but wisely,

Jake.

Repent lest ye be damned to the Abyss.

Come On In

 There is no guarantee

of a seat, for us in Heaven,

until we’re forgiven

for our sins.

Now that may take some time,

maybe eons, in a line,

until He points at you,

with a “come on in.”

 *

Now this earthly visit,

that in which we’re living,

is only just a challenge

for our soul.

We must do the best we can,

and though we be, but mortal man,

remembering that Heaven

is our goal.

But now, Satan wants our souls

just as badly.

And so he tempts us

with the pleasures of this earth.

Yes, he uses all the vices

to him they’re just devices,

to steal your soul

and deprive you of it’s worth.

 *

Well there aren’t to many of us,

save our mothers,

that go directly through,

those “Pearly Gates.”

Most must wait in line

for God knows, how much time,

while the damned be unaware

what Hell awaits.

 *

So, what sin or sins, go unforgiven?

Is it the type,

or just the count,

that matters most?

It is this question we should ponder,

before we’re dead, and we go yonder.

Will it be He or It,

who’ll be our host?

 *

No, there is no guarantee,

of a seat, for us in Heaven,

unless, we’re forgiven

for our sins.

And that may take some time,

depending on your line.

Until they point at you,

and say “come on in!”
