The Birth Of Hope

MONDAY? It’s MONDAY? OMG, already? What happened to the weekend? What is there to look forward to now, except for a long tedious week at work? Oh, woe is me!

Now, that is the way that some (most) of us look at Monday morning! But, why not look at Monday as a new start, a new beginning, a genesis, if you will, as an opportunity to expand our horizons, to do something different, something special, to make an improvement in our lives or the lives of others? Why not look at Monday, (or tomorrow, or the next day, for that matter) as “The Birth Of Hope” instead? From this day forward, “Nothing but blue skies, from now on.” (Thanks to Willie Nelson.)

     Why not make Monday, magic?

The Birth Of Hope

 With the dawn

of a new day

with a thought

of a new way

or a sprout

in the spring

the fledgling

on wing

all signal

the birth of hope.

For without it

we’re doomed

to a life

of sheer gloom

feeling never

the light

seeing only

the night

and with darkness

e’re must we cope.
