I must always offer a caveat, (which translates from the Latin to English as, “covering my ass”) before one of these:
The following poem, in no way or manner reflects my past or current relationship with my loving wife (Beth) of thirty-two years,(May 10th see, I looked it up remembered) and it surely does not intend to intimate that any value whatsoever could ever, even possibly, be placed on something as priceless as the aforementioned marriage. (Yada, yada, etc. )Â
No my friends, this poem is not about me. THANK GOD!  No, it is about the poor unfortunate victims of love gone bad.. From the whisperings of sweet nothings to the loud and often tearful shouting of; “Sweet mother of mercy that leaves me with….Nothing!! You B_____” (optional insertion)(that one’s on you)
I am hoping that old wounds will not be reopened in any of you, but if they are I’m sure your comments to that end will only speak to the veracity of the poem. As to the rest of you, enjoy it, if you can..
Oh, and don’t forget that today, Wednesday May 2nd is;  “Take a smile to work day!”
     Have a wide-eyed Wednesday,
Jake.

THE PRICE OF LOVE
 From courtship

and that’s when the push

From love notes

Funny!!!! Probably a good thing you put the disclaimer on there about your own marriage, though!!! Someone who happened upon your blog may have thought you were a disgruntled ex!!! 🙂
