Of Poems and Ponderings

       On February 11, 2011,  poemsandponderings.wordpress.com,  published for the first time, a post surprisingly titled; “Of Poems and Ponderings.” That was post #1 and fittingly it will also be post #300. I know that some of you may be saying “300 what’s the big deal? I’ve done thousands.” But to me it is an accomplishment of great self-reward, as I never thought for a minute about doing 300 posts. The first, was the stepping off-point on this journey to “fame and fortune,” (soon to follow, I’m sure) and as Confucius said, ‘Even the longest of journeys begin with but a single step.’ It has been more than fun, it has been an adventure into the world of blogging and finding new and interesting  friends and exciting new viewpoints, all in a matter of months. Thank you all for coming along on the odyssey with me. Whether you were here from the start or just happened by and kinda, sorta, liked what you read, you are all deeply appreciated, and without you this project would cease to exist. Also, I would like to express my thanks to those of you who have nominated me for an award or two, and as you are fully aware, I am an idio..novice at all things blogging. So in the future if you wish to laud and praise and offer well-deserved honors upon this humble man, please include full(detailed) instructions (with illustrations if possible) for the proper etiquette of displaying said honor, or honors. I would like at this juncture to specifically thank my wonderful and talented sister-in-law Pearl, (cdnpearly.wordpress.com.) for showing the way and leading the parade, thanks Pearl..Send all complaints to cdnpearly.wordpress.com, it’s all her fault..

     Now without further ado, a look inside the world of poemsandponderings,   and with a special thank you to the long-suffering “Charter Members.”

Of Poems and Ponderings

Beyond this mark,

I hope you will find,

poems and ponderings,

of many a kind.

Some to bring laughter,

and some to reflect,

I say without question,

and without disrespect.

For the words, that I write,

are those that I feel,

at least at that moment,

my thoughts, I reveal.

They are intended,

to entertain, some with wit,

and while some, are pure fiction,

some, the truth, hold a bit.

And many I hope,

some thought, will evoke,

while others are merely,

my way of a joke.

Others are stories,

in rhyming form,

and one or a couple,

may someone, inform.

My wish is for all,

who read, what I write,

to find something, or other,

that they think, is alright.

And, maybe one day,

those words they’ll repeat,

preferably fore,

my life is complete!
