Perception (his view)

If you read yesterday’s post you will know what this one is all about…Perception! And how men and women see and/or feel the same things in entirely different ways and perceive the actions of one another from perspectives unique to their gender, and seldom can they comprehend the thought process of the other. As the poem was written seen through the eyes of the woman, it is only fair to offer a look into the mind of the man. Please note; it required seven verses for the feminine point of view, and only one for the masculine. We are, after all, the simplest of creatures.

Your thoughts and comments, as always, are welcomed and appreciated.

Jake.

Perception

(his view)

These last few weeks had been so hard,

trying to hide the surprise,

keeping their conversations short,

and avoiding those beautiful eyes.

But, all had been successful,

for he was sure, she didn’t know,

and now everything was set up,

their friends, now beginning to show.

And with the help of Chris and John,

their neighbors from right next door,

who had managed all the details,

oh, what a party she had in store.

Their friends had come from all around,

and, having hidden their cars away,

every one of them agreed,

she’d remember, this birthday.

Yes, this day she would remember,

and his gift, especially so,

a secluded second honeymoon,

for her his love, to show.

Seven verses for the woman and only one for the man, Jack. Are you sure? Does that mean that men are simple-minded, lol!

    I like this one!

    • You see Denise, while your comment is most appreciated, it used an excess ofverbiage. Whereasa male reader might just have said something like…..Dude!!!(and I would have known exactly what he was saying…) bwaahaahaa. Seriously though, thanks for the nice comment and forbeing a faithful follower. Jake.

Of course women in general have to be prepared for anything and everything, but men are only worried about here and now…does this make sense to you??

    • I’m sorrySal, I’m notable to answer that question at this time…I haven’t prepared for it yet.. lmao But, like I said, men and women look at things from different angles, yet, that diversity is exactlywhat attractsoneto the other, and when put together properly, can be a pretty formidable pairing. Does that make any sense to you? If it does explain it to me!!(I wrote it, I read it, but, I don’t get it.)

Jack, you caught me of guard. She must have been very surprised!

    • Aha, I told you Mary..It took a little bit to decide how to “put it to bed” so to speak, I hadthe thought go through my head that she would burst in on him with another woman,(I even gave brief thought to it being her mother) and shoot them, believe it or not. But, alas,,,the happy ending emerged. So glad you liked it. Jack.
