Perception

For the next seven days, I will be posting, in installments, a poem that I have recently completed called “Perception.”  I hope you will all enjoy it, though I believe the ladies especially, might find it interesting, as it is written from the woman’s perspective. Your feedback is welcomed and encouraged. Thank you for tagging along on this odyssey with me.

     May your Monday be magnificent,

Jake.

Perception

She walks the dog along the beach,

as the sun reflects the trees,

orange, red and yellow,

with still a touch of green,

off of the mirrored surface,

like the perfect movie scene.

Solitude surrounds them,

the birds, only with their songs,

invade the silent stillness,

of her thoughts, of what went wrong.
