Generally Speaking

    I have promised to be a little more upbeat today. When I came across this one I thought, “this is just the one to post, as a tribute to the ladies.” Magnificent creatures that you are, and worthy of a high rank in any endeavor of your choosing. (I’m just trying to cover my a** here.) And perhaps add a little lightness to the week. But I swear every word to be true, I (figuratively) keep a white flag handy at all times. (The shorter the war the lesser the reparations)  Now, as written from behind enemy lines;

Generally Speaking

Women should command the armies,

of that, I have no doubt,

for be it skirmish, or battle epic,

all of their guns, come out.

From arsenals long forgotten,

no ammo, too big, or small,

for them to use for purpose,

when they heed, their battle call.

There is no place, in which to hide,

from their great barrage,

no cellar deep, or attic high,

nor, far away garage.

Her foes, will be defeated,

and take their final breath,

praying, for the silence,

while wishing, they were deaf.

  1. Too many marriages can never seem to sign an armistice. That’s why they don’t last.

    • Because to sign an armistice is to admit defeat..Egos abound. Everybody wants to win, even in obvious no-win situations. It’s love me or let’s lace ’em up. And when a judge is the third man in the ring, you are going down for the count….(or so I’ve heard) I personally, usually, (metaphorically speaking) do the Roberto Duran, and merely say No Mas, No Mas… ha ha ha. Figure I saved a bundlethat way.
