Take Solace

There is something to be said for sharing, and having a close inner-circle. Today there will not be a long drawn-out introduction to this poem. I am confident of the intelligence of my readers to understand the message! lol.

I wish for all a thoroughly, thriving Thursday,

Jake.

Take Solace

Confidence thrives on success,

until it reaches the point, of excess,

then one single fall,

can bring an end to it all,

and you find, you’re no better,

than the rest.

Humility, can temper that beast,

allow others, to share in your feast,

then if you fail,

alone, you won’t wail,

your misery, will have company,

at least.

  1. i think i got the message! i agree that being humble always tops the vain and prideful in the long run. thanks for posting!

    • Thanks John,  it seems we can’t be on top and not want people around us, if only to rub their noses in it. And in the opposite position, we need people around us to console us and commisserate. Moral….Be nice to those you meet on the way up…You may see them again, on your way down… Thanks again for your visit and comment. Jake.
