The Welfare Seed

I promised this one to Carl over at “I know I made you laugh” here at wordpress.com

With the state of the economy as it is, why hasn’t someone of authority suggested that “Welfare” be treated like “Unemployment“? You get X amount of time to get off of your butt, and find a job/solution to YOUR problem/predicament. If you need more time you may file for an extension (ONCE)… If you still are having difficulties we will find work for you, and all benefits will cease at the receipt of your first paycheck, regardless of the amount. Your children are your concern, we were not there at the conception, therefore, if we had no “input” then, don’t look for us to be pulling you out now!!!  HOWEVER,  if your minor children are suffering unduly, we will remove them to a “Facility” where they will receive better care than you are providing. You are an ‘ADULT’ and are responsible for your own actions. “Think Before You Sink“!!!!!!

The Welfare Seed

We should offer help, not comfort,

to those, who are in need,

 ease is not a flower,

 it’s, the ever-growing, weed.

For, once it has been planted,

and it’s roots, begin to take,

 the effort, to remove it,

needs more, than hoe, and rake.

And it seems, that it’s perennial,

 the seed returns, on pace,

 growing, from the same line,

 just with, a different face.
