It was suggested to me today that recently my posts have had a dark side to them, and I was asked (with concern) if perhaps, there was an underlying reason for that..I assured my loving brother that all is well within the inner me, and that sometimes the poems I post are not current at all, but a random selection from the dusty archives. You know, eenie meenie, etc. So here is one on a bit of a lighter note.. I hope you like it.
Wildly wonderful wishes for a walloping Wednesday, (when I read that, Elmer Fudd comes to mind)  ” bdah, bdah, That’s All Folks”
Jake.
NO WAY AROUND IT
Spheres and orbs, and circles, round,
throughout, the universe abound.
0
Sun and moon and earth around,
this human’s mind, it does astound.
0
Clocks and coins, and jeweled crowns,
handcuffs on the wrist, surround.
0
Wheels and tires, go round and round,
for us to get, where we are bound.
0
The carousel’s horses, go up and down,
the string, upon a yoyo’s wound.
0
Traffic lights to slow us down,
speakers, to provide us sound.
0
Inner tubes, so we won’t drown,
the rotary, in center town.
0
The bright red nose, of the circus clown,
and the Jack o’ lantern, with a frown.
0
The great oak’s acorn, on the ground,
and sweet citrus, on a tree is found.
0
But, the skull atop, the human mound,
is that which does, the most confound.
0
For no finer example, will there be found,
but, sadly atop, mankind it’s bound.
