When I was young (yes I was young once) Major League Baseball, had “double-header” every Sunday, two games for the price of one. So in the spirit of nostalgia, and though it is now Monday, ( but, I thought of it yesterday) I give you two, count ‘em two, poems for the price of one..Such a deal.
Please enjoy them and your Monday, (if you can)
Jake.
RAINBOWS AND WATERFALLS
 Rainbows and waterfalls,
so soothing, to the soul,
as are, the gentle waves that break,
once beyond, the rocky shoal.
And rivers, peaceful flowing,
to a place, so far away,
the sunrise easing, upward,
to create, a brand new day.
Breezes soft, in springtime,
and young children, at their play,
allow us all, a respite brief,
from the business, of our days.

AN IDLE THOUGHT
 I had this thought,
go through my mind,
about the state, we’re in.
*
 It’s, not the economy,
or ecology,
that has our heads a’spin.
*
 The problem lies,
seen, through my eyes,
over which, the wool’s, been pulled.
*
You will not dine,
on rib, that’s prime,
from the hind end, of the bull.

The second one made me laugh out loud. Happy Monday–great double header!
I happy to hear of your laughter, it makes me smile.
