Through Love’s Eyes

I have stated many times over, that poemsandponderings was not your grandma’s poetry. Well apparently, I lied. For lately the words that form the sentences that form the poems have taken on a somewhat softer and gentler(read mushy) nature to them, similar I would say to old-fashioned (grandma’s)poetry. So today I would like to share with you a recent example of said style. I hope that you will find it an interesting perspective, into the strange mind of yours truly, and if nothing else, bring back the memory of those boring hours in English Lit.

But, have no fear dear readers, the feminine side has once again receded back into its secret place and the “Macho Man” has returned, as today I wrote “Seven Steps to Death.”  Definitely not your grandma’s poetry. Please enjoy the sweetness for one more day at least.

      Have a winsome Wednesday,

Jake.

Through Love’s Eyes

 Whispered wisps of tender love,

washed wave-like over him,

whilst wanton lust arose,

whence within, love’s passion throes.

*

 Staring softly, eyes of blue,

seeking somewhere far inside,

secrets, safe no more,

searching she, his naked core.

*

Bared before her gaze, so deep,

brazen, bold, and yet so meek,

beyond belief, exposed was he,

bound blissful, for all time to she.

  1. Society esp feminist movement and divorce/custody laws refuse to recognize the heartfelt sensitivity that men may possess and well as most honorable intentions. Gender discrimination that society accepts and refuses to modify.

Awww……the softer side of Jake is nice.

    • You are too kind. It was justa kind ofthought process, that developed as I went along, for no apparent reason. As I have said before, I have many personallities controlling the movements of the pen. (Some for the credit and the others for the blame.) It’s reallynice to hear from you again. Have you settled back in to the daily grind yet?

The grind is grindier than it was….having a hard time getting into it and adjusting to life with the bro in law again but will get there. Hubby being overseas is not helping matters but I will overcome !!!! Gonna get into the Christmas spirit and get going! Thanks for asking!!!

Men and women both have their soft, gentle side. It is only that women often allow theirs to be seen whereas men mistakenly consider it ‘weak’ to be soft and gentle. Most women would agree that it is extremely attractive for a strong, virile man to show his gentle side.

    • Ah, perhaps,,, butwetheold and the weak men show our back-side,(and though it may be soft) women don’t find that attractive at all!!And “restraining orders” leave very little room, for interpretation..lol. Have a superior day Denise, you deserve it. Jake.
